3rd Wednesday of Every Month, from 6pm until ....
Meet & socialize with fellow WOS residents at our monthly social hour at the Pool/Clubhouse.
This event is kid friendly, so bring the whole family! If the weather is pleasant, we sit outside on the pool deck. Otherwise, we meet in the Clubhouse. Come introduce yourself!
There are usually a few WOSCA Board Members in attendance, so this is a good time to ask questions or make suggestions.
The tennis courts on Parksite Woods have been updated to include striping for pickleball.
Full members use the courts for free, first-come, first-served.
On Tuesdays at 5:45pm, Junior Match provides pickleball classes to youth 5-12, with discounts for WOSCA members.

The Independence Day parade has become a Woods of Shavano tradition. Every year, residents decorate bikes, wagons, strollers & pets and make their way from the community park to the pool for watermelon & popsicles. The parade is led the fire department and EMS.
Thanks to our local Fire Station and all Woods of Shavano neighbors who participate! We hope to celebrate with you for many years to come.

You’re invited to join the nearly 38-million Americans who partake in National Night Out (NNO) each year. NNO is a cohesive effort to promote crime prevention, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood unity.
Neighbors will hold NNO Block Parties from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3. Each block organizes its own party, which gives an opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another & build community.
We are always looking for block captains to host NNO and other social events!!

Each household is responsible for obtaining a San Antonio garage sale permit.
In 2022, neighborhood resident Rachel H. hosted the 1st Annual Woods of Shavano Friendsgiving Dinner at the Clubhouse.
The event was much loved & we are hopeful to make it an annual tradition.
Thank you, Rachel!
Every holiday season residents of the Woods of Shavano compete for bragging rights to be named winner of the holiday decoration contest!
We've noticed that decorating is contagious, with neighbors encouraging each other to get into the holiday spirit.
Santa visits our clubhouse every year for family photos, then rides thru the neighborhood on a hay-filled trailer handing out treats to little ones and grown-ups alike.
Check the neighborhood newsletter for details about these seasonal events.
